BEGINNER TRAINING: This course starts off with the absolute basics and finishes with a touch of the intermediate riding skills. Our Beginner Rider Training course is for the person who is new to motorcycling and/or the students who feels that you may be a bit ‘rusty’ and may need to go over the basics again, considering the time frame of when last you were on a motorcycle and the change in technology (faster and better braking). Our training will outline the physical, mental, technical and natural riding ability that we ALL need to get safely from point A to B. Our success rate is 98 % and our course consists of theory and a lot of practical training.
Starting with the absolute basics, pulling away and gear changing. Once you’ve done this, you will feel like you can ride to Cape Town and back! However, this is just the beginning of your exciting journey to the next level which is cornering.
Cornering is also very important as this will determine that you can go where you want to go and turn when you need to turn. Our academy has perfected the “formula” to help you take corners with confidence when you apply the techniques correctly and efficiently.

Another crucial facet to being in control of your motorcycle, is being able to stop or apply the brake when necessary to slow down in different conditions and circumstances. Knowing which brake to use when and how much of it at any specific time, will give you the confidence you need to slow down or stop and be in control at the same time. Although our first reaction is to ‘grab the brakes’ when we get a fright, it’s sometimes a better option to swerve instead of braking. We will teach you how and why to swerve when necessary for different circumstances.

Before taking you out on an outride in order for you to put all the steps and techniques of the day together, we will focus on incline starts. Just in case you one day have to stop on a hill and get to the top in control. We all find that unexpected incline sooner or later and it’s great to know how to handle it with your motorcycle when it happens. The course ends with an outride that gives the students the opportunity to compile all the techniques that was acquired during the day. By the end of this course you will have all the necessary tools & techniques to assist you with the basics and getting safely from point A – B. Like anything in life, you will need to practice by riding regularly and attending follow up courses where necessary and possible to improve your skill continuously. You can never know too much or practice too much.
It's important to specify whether you want weekend or weekday training. Note that rates differ for these courses. One on One training is also available. Please contact the office for available dates and rates for Individual Courses.
